Decluttering My Makeup Collection – Part 16, High End Lipsticks

And FINALLY, the last declutter for 2016! It was a long road, thank you for sticking with me 🙂 We finish with my high end lipsticks… yah, I have way more than I thought.. I am noticing that this is a recurring theme. It is true though, you only really notice all that you have when you take it all out! I’ll do one last post after this one to show you the before and after of my collection. Enjoy!

Decluttering My Makeup Collection – Part 15, Drugstore Lipsticks

This is the 2nd last part of my decluttering.. my lipsticks! These will be the longuest 2 posts of the series by far… Hope you are still with me!

The sheer amount of lipsticks that I had surprised me.. I really thought I had about 50 or so total… yah no.. I have 52 drugstore ones and high end 102. Yikes! I will break this post into 2 since it will be way too long if I do both drugstore and high end together

I find that lots of colours are gorgeous, look amazing when swatched, but I just don’t reach for the them. Bright pinks, peaches and reds are not the colours that I like.

Strap yourself in, this is a long one!

Decluttering My Makeup Collection – Part 9.1, Small Palettes / Quads

For this one, it will be broken into weird parts. This first (9.1) is the duos, small palettes and quads that I keep in my palette drawer. The next (9.2) will be my singles and eye crayons and the last (9.3) will be my bareMinerals paletttes. The reason I say this is that it may look that there is quads and singles everywhere.. lol

Decluttering My Makeup Collection – Part 8, Foundations / Primers / Setting Sprays

We are about halfway in my declutter series, I hope you have been enjoying it! I have enjoyed decluttering and it has me excited about purging, organizing but also about rediscovered products.

I wanted to mention that there will be no concealer and eye primer declutter because I reorganized my every day drawer and that’s where I kept them. So I decluttered them at that time and already passed along the items so I can’t show you..

At the end of the declutter, I’ll show you my collection!

Now let’s get into the declutter.

Decluttering My Makeup Collection Part 7 – Eyeshadow Palettes

This one… I knew would it would be one of the hardest. I LOVE palettes. I love using them for a one stop shop for a look. When going through them, I noticed that some I hadn’t event touched… yah.. bad, I know. So I added them to the “Need to use more” pile because I want to give them a fair shot before passing them along.

Decluttering My Makeup Collection – Part 5, Blushes

This is one of my favourites drawers. I loved how I organized it and I love how pretty the blushes look. I have tons, looks like it came up to 94, and I think that is too much for blush (duh!). What I mean tho is that there is only a certain amount of shades you can have in blush.. it is not as versatile as eyeshadows. I say that, however, I had trouble with this one… lol. I have many that are pretty.

I tried to made this post so that if you didn’t want to read all my explanations of why am I keeping, passing along or putting in the need to use more pile, you could just scroll down and see the story in pictures (I added captions so you know what I am keeping and what I am not).

Behold, my collection!! Can you see why it is so hard to go through.. where do I even start? What I decided to do was to group some together, randomly brand by brand and just go through them and decide what I want to keep and not in each batch. This is both less overwhelming for me and also easier to pass along info to you guys in a written format.

Here we go.
