Decluttering My Makeup Collection – Part 15, Drugstore Lipsticks

This is the 2nd last part of my decluttering.. my lipsticks! These will be the longuest 2 posts of the series by far… Hope you are still with me!

The sheer amount of lipsticks that I had surprised me.. I really thought I had about 50 or so total… yah no.. I have 52 drugstore ones and high end 102. Yikes! I will break this post into 2 since it will be way too long if I do both drugstore and high end together

I find that lots of colours are gorgeous, look amazing when swatched, but I just don’t reach for the them. Bright pinks, peaches and reds are not the colours that I like.

Strap yourself in, this is a long one!

Revlon Lip Butter, 8

These are nice and buttery. I enjoy the sheer colour they give and thus also making them easy to apply and different than other lipsticks in my collection. I am just passing along the colours I never really reached for.

  • Passing Along, 3: the 2 light pink I will not reach for, the Berry, is similar to Sugar Plum that I am keeping.

Revlon Super Lustrous, 7

Keeping all…. I love these, my fav formula at the drugstore and they were all bought with careful selection.

These are pigmented and great, especially for the price.

  • Passing Along, 2: The peach colour looks horrible on me and the pink is just not my shade.

Maybelline Matte Lipsticks and Color Senstional, 12

The matte formula is my favourite mattes from the drug store. I wanted to keep them all but I bought Lust for Blush twice, so I passed on the new one and Daringly Nude looked terrible on me. The rest I kept.

Burt’s Bees, keeping love these!

NYC, Covergirl, Almay, passing these along, shades don’t appeal to me

Marcelle, passing along the red

Nyx, this is my only one and I like the shade but I have formulas I like better so I am passing it along

Rimmel London, 10

I like these but had too many colours, so I went through them and passed along some colours. I think I regret passing along the nude Kate ones… we will see, I only miss then when I see posts about them… so maybe I won’t repurchase lol. The clear one was useless.

  1. Hi! Just wondering if you saw those La Chatelaine Hand Creams at Costco again this holiday season? I saw your review and I’ve been dying to pick some up! Thank you!

    1. Hi Leanna, unfortunately I did not, but I am talking with the company about getting these in Canada. They are currently looking into it and they will let me know. They also have soaps that they are working on getting them in Costco. If you are in the US they are available on amazon.com. If you are willing to the shipping to Canada, you can go on their website http://www.tonsavon.com
