Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Splits – Review

I haven’t ordered much lately because I am in the process of cleaning the beauty/geek/photography room which has turned into the dump all room. We have literally thrown everything in there when we want to do a quick clean up or when we aren’t sure where to put it. I am almost done the cleaning and then it is the makeup declutter that will start! Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to take you along for that part.

Anyway, all that to say that I haven’t purchased makeup in a while but when I saw these, I had to get one. I have always heard great things about the Becca blushes and I love Champagne Pop.

This Champagne Splits Shimmering Skin Perfector Mineral Blush Duo, along with a few more items, are the latest items in Jaclyn Hill’s collaboration collection with Becca. As you may have noticed, they are revolve around champagne pop, which has proven to be wildly popular.

They come in 4 shades and retail for $46 CAD, sold at Sephora.

The 4 shades combine Champagne Pop with a different Becca blush for each compact you get. So you get a blush and a highlighter in one. I know personally I will probably never go through a full pan of either one so I am happy with this split duo. Also nifty for travel of course. The 4 blushes are Flowerchild (as pictured below), Hyacinth, Amaretto and Pamplemousse. The reason I chose Flowerchild is that it is a very popular Becca blush, and was a nice soft pink colour. The Hyacinth was too dark for me, I have the Pamplemousse in the face palette in Jaclyn’s collection and the Amaretto, which I also want, was sold out. So Flowerchild it is!

I already love Champagne Pop and I think even if it is intense, I love the look of it. It is not like any other highlighter in my collection.

The blush also does not disappoint. It is pigmented and applies well to the cheeks.  And yes, I found the 2 shades went well together.

I love the packaging because I love gold. I’ve said it before that if I had a makeup collection, the packaging would for sure have gold in it. The only thing I would comment on is that since the gold is shiny/reflective, it makes the packaging look a little cheap compared to the other Becca prodcut with that brownish matte colour. But other than that, I like the size of the pans, easy to get a brush in and it is very pretty and keeps the classic alien saucer, silver Becca logo middle that we all already know and love.

Now, if you already own Champagne Pop and the blush separately, do you need this, no. Unless you want to collect the collection of course. It would just be a dupe in your collection.  And the other downside is that if you want 2 colours of the blush duos, then you will have Champagne Pop twice.

I tip my hat to Becca and Jaclyn since these will be a money grabber for sure and I am sure people will buy them and in multiple colours. This collection has lots of new products but you can dupe the colours that you already own easily.

But look how pretty!! lol. (last words of a makeup addict!)

Hope you enjoyed this post!
