It was my birthday month! As result I got so many new and exciting things 🙂 Some were gifts, some were splurges… I also went through a huge makeup overhaul (again) which freed up some space, reminded me of the things that I own and love, and gave me room to buy more stuffs… It was a great month and here are my stand out beauty products:
Urban Decay Naked 3
This was a birthday gift from Nat and Missy (thanks ladies!) however it didn’t make my faves just because of that! I found that between the Naked 2 and the Naked 3, the Naked 3 is more every day wearable. The nature of a pink palette lets you create some very soft looks. When I received it I thought that it was going to be a special occasion palette however on my second time using it I found a really lovely day time look that I can foresee myself getting a lot of use out of when I go back to the office! I’ve worn it quite a lot in June as result 🙂 I super love the Naked 3 and I will go so far as to say that I might like it more than Naked 2 for day to day use.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Face Sunscreen
I love this sunscreen because it doesn’t make my eyes water, it has an SPF of 60 and it absorbs in to the skin super quickly drying down satin/matte. It’s made to wear under makeup too! I tested it out with several foundations that I own and found that it made no impact on makeup application. Normally I find sunscreen on my face to be too greasy for makeup and so I’d look for makeup with SPF. I decided to change it up by testing this out and am I glad I did! I will definitely repurchase this!
Physicians Formula Argan Oil
The time finally came. I used up all of my beauty oils that I got from samples etc. I had to buy a new one! This one happened to be on sale for $14.99 from $21.99 so I grabbed it. I really like it so far. It’s thicker than the Josie Maran Argan Oil but still absorbs very quickly in to the skin. I also find that I need to use less of it because it spreads out quite well. Perhaps that’s because it’s thicker? Anyway. I am happy I bought it 🙂
Bite Beauty Matte Créme Lip Crayon in Glacé
This was a 100 point beauty reward from Sephora that I picked up when I ordered a bunch of “it’s my birthday and I can buy it if I want it” stuff. I have warn this several times through out June and mention it in my faves because it’s the first matte lip product that I like. I normally find them too drying and they tend to make my lips look flat. This product is creamy so it isn’t very drying. It’s not insanely matte so it leaves a little depth on your lips and the mauve colour works well for me! I’d consider buying more of these!
Well those are my June stand outs!
