Holy crap it’s April!!! I can’t believe it. Time has just flown by. I missed out on February Favourites due to an unexpected delivery but I’m back for March 🙂 Despite being super preggo in February and learning the ins and outs of a newborn in March I still managed to find some things that I love.
In February I started jotting down my favourites for the month so I thought I’d briefly mention them now (there’s only 2).
Covergirl Lashblast Fushion
I’m actually still using this now so it could be a March fave too 😉 This mascara doesn’t smudge, run or flake. It was also only $5.99! Sadly it’s not cruelty free but I can’t find a good, affordable and accessible mascara that works for me. I’m still on the hunt for my holy grail mascara for that reason but in the meantime, this one does the job!
Say Yes To Cucumber
Cucumber is becoming an obsession for me… I look for it in everything now. This moisturizer is the partner to my holy grail facial wipes. It actually feels cooling on the skin when I apply it. It’s a no frills moisturizer which I add argan oil to as needed. I love that it’s eco friendly, cruelty free, affordable and feels so fresh on my skin!
Now in March I have to confess that I didn’t always get to wear makeup (who am I kidding I can count the amount of times I put on pants this past month on 1 hand!!) but when I did it was all about the concealer. Doing a full face of foundation is time-consuming with a newborn so I often skipped that step and used a concealer. My concealer of choice?
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer – Vanilla
It lasts all day and blends out really well, even without foundation to blend in to. Some times I skip colour correcting under my eyes and just use this to mute the tired, I have a screaming newborn look. Like all the NARS complexion products that I’ve used, it’s so easy to work with and just simply does the job. The downside? Holy expensive!!!!
And my last favourite… this is a total cop-out but I can’t resist…
Snuggles with my daughter while watching YouTube!
What can I say? It’s honestly all I’ve been doing for the remainder of February and March. This months goal: get out of the house! As result hopefully April Favourites will be much more interesting.
