Sheena’s October 2015 Favourites!

I’m getting back in to the makeup wearing rhythm and it feels GREAT! After a summer of wearing just the bare essentials (if that), I’m finally back to wearing makeup regularly. It’s been a lot of fun because I’ve changed my approach based on my mood (more to come on that later). This month I have some new loves to share 🙂

BareMinerals Well Rested

This is an under the eye setting powder from BareMinerals. I have it in a sample size. For the longest time I never touched it because I wasn’t quite sure what it was. Recently I saw a youtube video where someone loved it and claimed that it “just does something.” I tried it out and I have to agree. It just does something. It brightens and smooths out the fine lines all while setting my concealer. Damn. I love this stuff.

Julep Pore Minimizing Blush in Clover Pink

I got this in my September Julep box. The pic does not do it justice! It’s a lovely pink blush but what was special about it to me was that it’s duo chrome. It’s so light and gentle on my cheeks yet it has a duo chromatic shine that I don’t notice often in blush! I love Julep and I love this blush!!

Maiga Shae Butter & Cocoa Butter

This is crack for your dry skin. It’s basically pure cocoa and shea butter mixed together. Not only do you smell great (like baking, as my husband loves to exclaim) but it locks in the moisture after a shower. It’s amazing!

Lastly, but not least… my 1st Christmas set purchase!

Stila Trust In Love Gift Set

IMG_1584

I haven’t tried every shadow out yet but so far in swatches they all are amazingly buttery and pigmented! Stila has really started to step up their game with the texture of their shadows. I love the balance of colours in this palette and have been excited to use it in the mornings. A full review is to come once I use more of a variety of the shades and crack open the mascara. So far I’m super happy with it.

That’s it for me this month! Hooray for new discoveries 🙂
