If you saw my August Favourites, you know that I got and liked the Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadows.
Needless to say that these are a Yay for me 🙂
These is Kat Von D’s latest shadow release, back in early August. She came out with 9 shades and then 2 more were released a few weeks later for a total of 11 shades. I own only 3 since they are $25 a piece, hefty price but they are beautiful and there is a lot of product. I own the following 3 shades:
- Synergy: metallic bronze – This is a great shade that looks great on the lid with a just a little transition in the crease and something lighter in the inner corner.
- Thunderstruck: metallic pearl – This shade is the least pigmented of the lot but it is very very beautiful. It has a dual chrome effect, which describes perfectly the peal colour. I have made a few looks with this for work, it is great in the inner corner or all over the lid with a nice transition shade. Love.
- Doce: metallic copper – I just got this shade this past week so I haven’t had a chance to play with it, but I can’t stop swatching it lol. It is so beautiful. I want to crease a look with Doce and Thunderstrck. I’m excited
These are very soft shadows, be careful, don’t drop them! I dropped my Synergy and it broke 😦
There are a bold pigment with a metallic finish. To get this type of metallic, it makes the shadows really soft and buttery. If you see these at Sephora, take 2 seconds and swatch one. If you love pigment, metallic, great shadows, you you will be thunderstruck (hehe.. get it?). It was love at first sight.
These blend very well, and you only need a dab on your brush. I also used Thunderstruck with some MAC fix plus and intensify it with a great result.
If you are to get a shade, I suggest Thunderstruck. It is the most versatile and you can make any look with this one 🙂
