This week on Yay or Nay Sunday, We are looking at the Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette! I will cut right to the chase guys, it is a yay!
For the price of $39, this palette de-li-vers. It is worth the purchase.
There. Now that this is out of the way, let’s get into the review.
I have tried almost every shade in this palette and I have had no issues creating looks. This is why I love this palette so much. Not only are the shadows super pigmented (you can see in the swatches below, that is one swipe), but they blend really really well.
There are lots of quality warm neutrals and just enough of a pop of colour to create a look with an edge. I wish I had taken pictures of more looks for this post, but alas time ran away from me. There is also a variety of finishes, matte, shimmer, satin, which allow you to create so many looks.
You can do a neutral eye, a neutral eye with a pop of colour, a smokey eye with that super pigmented black (noir), a shimmery look with Pink Champagne, or Chic, many options exist.
Some of my favourite shades in the palette are:
- Morroco, which reminds me of a lighter Cocoa Bear from Makeup Geek. I would use it in the same way I would use that shade, as a crease or transition colour
- Pink Champagne, it is a great metallic shade that give loves of shine to the eye. I have worn it all over the lid or in the inner corner.
- Soft Peach is perfect for any look!
One look that I made with Morroco, Soft Peach, Metallic and Spoiled.
If you were on the fence about getting this palette like I was, I say, take the plunge it is worth it. I was on the fence because I wasn’t sure if I would use the crazier shades in this palette. But the balance between the neutrals and the pops of colour is what made me buy it. And it is exactly why I love it.
Hope you enjoyed this post!
