Wow! July has been HOT!! No complaints here, I’ve been enjoying it. But as a result I haven’t been wearing tons of makeup. At best I have been sporting lipgloss so this months favourites has tons of them!
BareMinerals Moxie Marvellous lip gloss – Nat bought me these for my birthday. My birthday was in early June but we weren’t able to actually catch up with each other until closer to July hence this landing in July faves and not June!! The BareMinerals Moxie Marvellous Lip Glosses are quickly becoming a holy grail for me. I got a sample size a while back that I absolutely LOVE!! Picking up more of these glosses is high on my to-do list at Sephora 🙂 I love that they last long, are tacky but not too tacky, and smell like chocolate mint! They are so easy to wear too. No mirror required!
Burt’s Bees lip gloss – I found these on sale at Rexall for $6.95 each. Since Nat is such a fan of Burt’s Bees and Burt’s Bees leans more towards my social values I did not stop myself from placing a few in my bag that day… I have absolutely no regrets! I especially love that berry colour. It’s a nice red but not red, adding a little bit of drama and lifting my face. I wouldn’t say that these last longer or better than my Moxie Marvellous Glosses, but they are about 1/3 of the price!
Milani Baked Blush in Luminosa – This cult classic has found it’s way back in to my regular rotation. Why? Well, basically because it’s a peachy gold blush that is flattering for my reddish skin tone. It looks nice and fresh and is subtle enough to work with my lighter day makeup routines. What can I say that hasn’t been said a thousand times over about this blush? It’s a classic and it works for me 🙂
Sally Hansen Nail Polish in Pardon My Garden (530) – Normally I don’t buy nail polish that isn’t Julep because I subscribe to them and that is how I rationalize my subscription however in June there was a credit card mix up and I didn’t receive any nail polish from them!! Nothing! It was tragic. I immediately placated myself by rushing to Shoppers and picking up this polish and another shade called “What in Carnation? (365)” on sale for 2 for $12. I’ve been wearing this mint green shade for about a week solid and its only chipping now! This polish is awesome and it’s making me rethink how I want to go about my Julep subscription. I haven’t tried the other shade yet but I might be switching it up this week… perhaps you will see it in my August faves??
Well that’s it for me! I hope you enjoyed my faves for the month of July 🙂
