Today on Yay or Nay Sunday – bareMinerals READY® Eyeshadow 7.0 Work, Weekend, Wow Palette.
This is a little gem, and I will say right off the bat, a Yay! Here is why. It is no secret that I love convenience and the bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow formula. It is small but packs a punch and versatile looks. That was a loaded 2 sentences. lol I think I am just happy to show you this palette today. Let’s break it down.
I purchased this palette on the Sephora website for $26, but unfortunately, as I am writing this, I do not see it on the site. However it it available on the bareMinerals website and they do ship to Canada. I think that for the value, the 7 eyeshadows you get are a great bargain.
No complaints here. The palette is small compact and thin. Perfect for travel. The magnet closure is one of the strongest ones on a palette, you can even hear a nice “click” when it closes, or is that a “snap” lol hard to describe a sound. I like that it includes 3 looks that you can do instead of a mirror. I never really use the mirror and the fact that the looks are printed on the inside, I am more likely to use them as a guide to use this palette. When they come as inserts, I never look at them.
- #1 500 Thread Count (airy pink)
- #2 Trench Coat(matte camel)
- #3 Fuze (cinder smoke)
- #4 Custom Made (pink quartz pearl)
- #5 Rowdy (heathered plum)
- #6 Starstruck (brushed metal)
- #7 Nightfall (brilliant cobalt)
The swatches above are just one swipe, beautiful! This formula for me is good. They blend nice and the variety of colours allow for a variety of looks. They suggest 3 looks you can do with this palette, one for work, weekend and a wow look, see below for samples. There is 4 mattes (500 thread count, trench coat, fuze and rowdy) and 3 satin/shimmer (custom made, starstruck, nightfall). I love that they made 500 thread count a big shadow because you really use it for every look, as a brow highlight, inner corner, as a base, whatever you can think of. You can even put it all over the eye area and slap on one of the mattes in the crease and call it a look.
I am going on a trip to Florida in a few months, and this is for sure the palette I am bringing. I will be able to create a day look to visit and jazz it up for going out to dinner later. A winner in my book.
I did the look exactly with the shadows suggested in the palette.
#1 500 thread count as a brow highlight, #5 Rowdy in the crease, #4 custom made on the lid and outer corner.
Blush is Clinique Cheek Pop in Nude Pop and a little bit of Heather Pop on top.
Lips are Bite Beauty limited release in the shade from May.
