I have turned into a Tarte fangirl this month!
The ‘fandamonium’ first began after my daughter did something unspeakably gross, in public and all over me, so I decided that I deserved some pretty new make-up. THEN Sephora had a crazy Tarte sale and I HAD to buy things.
So the theme of this month is all things Tarte!
Limited-Edition Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek Palette
LUUUUUURVE this palette! The best thing about it is that it doesn’t ‘dust up’ and contaminate the neighboring colours. It has great pigment and a nice velvety feel. It’s also very balanced with a user friendly amount of matte and shimmers.
Eye Opening Eyeliner 12-Piece Pencil Set
This FULL-SIZE pencil set went on sale for about as much as I usually pay for 2 eye liners. It is an incredible set. My eyeliner needs are now covered with these great products. The clay formula goes on soft yet still allows you to create lines that are smooth and defined. I love that the nude is the ‘brightest’ colour in the set because that means all the green, browns, and plums are EXTREMELY wearable and I can’t tell you the amount of fun I’m having accessorizing my eyeliner with my mood, clothes, daughter’s outfit etc. It also doesn’t hurt that it comes in an adorable gold carry case with a bow! 😀
Amazonian Butter Lip Tint and Cream
I’m now a HUGE fan of Tarte lip products. Their defining feature is that they are not goopy or sticky. And these double ended lip tints and cremes are just that. Great colour, great feel, and so light that if I kiss my husband with this product freshly applied he doesn’t realize he’s walking around with transfer lip stuff on until he passes a mirror (SCORE! Marking my man!). I picked up these two awesome lippies from that Tarte Sephora sale. Even if you can’t get this exact product now I highly recommend checking out the lip tints and butters from this brand.
The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer in Park Avenue Princess
I got this sample size product with my Sephora favourites Bronze Bares All kit. What I LOVE is that I can bronze/sculpt without a brush! It’s the best thing ever for travel or taking along in my purse! The formula can be blended with your hands but still remains on your face. It’s light and mess free (which is key for someone like me who stupidly will dust bronzer haphazardly on my face while wearing a white shirt). I know I will be using this product year round!
Finally I need to add this non-Tarte palette to this month’s love list. It’s my original fan girl brand Urban Decay and it’s their Naked 2 palette. I just find myself drawn to the shimmery taupes this month. It’s a great year around palette but I find it especially good for transitional times of the year. I think you’ll find the other Canadian Beauties will agree with me as well 😉
