Greetings from the cottage!
I’m visiting my parents and we have a fancy dinner to go to. But after packing the baby, travel cot, toys, car seat, stroller, my tiny suitcase and my two big dogs into the SUV I had very little space for makeup. So here was my mission: Get all my toiletries into the tiny inside pocket of my purse and don’t waste any space on brushes!
So what should one bring with limited amount of space and a need to create a natural and formal make-up look? Here is what I packed and to be honest I’m quite pleased with myself. For anyone else looking for some light packing guidance I proudly present my go to travel beauty items!
When I was packing I had 3 major things I wanted to create in mind: 1) Flawless foundation 2) Scupting and Highlighting 3) Natural and Fancy for Eyes and Lips.
For my ‘Flawless Foundation’ I chose to bring my Stila Illuminating BB cream (travel size), Nars concealer, and Benefit ‘Hello Flawless’ powder.
For my ‘Sculpting and Highlighting’ requirement I brought my Tarte ‘The Sculptor’ Bronzing Crayon in ‘Park Avenue Princess’ (travel size, Josie Maran Coconut Water Cheek Gelee in ‘Pink Escape’ (travel size), Benefit ‘Instant Brow Pencil’ in light and Buxom ‘Divine Godess Luminizer’ (travel size).
Finally for my ‘Natural and Fancy for Eyes and Lips’ I brought my Urban Decay ‘Naked Basics’ double ended eye pencil, Marc Jacobs Mascara (travel size), Tarte Lipsurgence gloss in ‘Energy’ (travel size), Bite Beauty double ended lipstick in ‘Fig and Date’.
And I honestly had room for more but why bother? I got great day and night time looks and also got to have fun playing with some pretty outstanding products!
So if you’re looking to pack light but look like you packed your full arsenal of make-up please consider taking some of these products with you on your next vacation!
