Nat’s May Beauty Favourites!

I can’t believe that May has already come and gone. In my mind, June feels so far away and it’s not… it means half the year has passed… CRAZY!! May has been a weird and busy month. When I say weird, I refer to the weather, we had hot weather, lots of wind, cold weather and risk of frost more than normal. UGH! It was so busy with so many events, mother’s day, my husband’s and his dad’s birthday, gardening, oh so much gardening (but I like it). Phiew, I am tired just typing this. I was able to use some of things below because they made things easy and made me happy this month. Here we go!

Benefit Rollerlash Mascara

I didn’t think I would ever want an expensive mascara or recommend one… I am of the mind that the drug store has excellent mascaras (and they do!) and that I would stick to that… But I got a sample size of the mascara last month through a Sephora order and didn’t use it. Then I decided to reach for it in May and fell in love. Well, let me be clear, it wasn’t love at first sight.  At first, I thought my lashes were clumpy and would fall but that was before I mastered how the use of the brush suited for my lashes. I used it almost everyday this month and I really see a difference when I use it. My lashes are full, have volume and just look great.

Julep Nailpolish in Denise

This purple is my go-to right now. I haven’t done my nails in a while and when I grabbed for this new one, I just adored it. It it purple with a base of blue. It dazzles and is attention grabbing. Love this colour, definitely a winner.

it’s a tad more purple in person

Wet n Wild palette in California Roll

This is my go-to when I want a quick, nice colourful look! For $4.99 this 6 pan palette is worth it. Not only do you have this amazing coral colour on the 2nd row, but the top colours are good inner-corner highlights and the green is fun to play with (in the corner of the eye or on the bottom lashes). If you can still find this beauty from the newest Wet n’ Wild collection, grab it! Check out Sheena’s post on more of these here!

e.l.f. Blush Brush

I got this brush at the wonderful price of $4 at the Canadian Superstore and let me tell you, it is worth it!! The brush is super soft, it’s a perfect length and for the low price, and it is versatile. I use this brush mostly for highlighting my cheek bones but it could be used for blush or sculpting under the cheekbones. I am surprised by the quality of this brush, e.l.f. did another good one with this brush!
