Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful women/mothers out there!
Very simply put, these NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliners are a Yay! We ain’t messing around this week, straight to the point! Why? Why not? 🙂 No really, when something is good, it deserves the praise (but I hope you read on to find out why) lol.
If you saw my haul last Sunday, you may have noticed one of these babies in the haul. As promised, I am starting to review those items.
Let’s get down to the nitty gritty.
I use the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencils a lot for my upper and lower lash line but I find I have trouble with eyeliner staying in water line. I am sure I am not the only beauty blogger to have this issue!
I discovered the NARS eyeliners after my first time doing a Murale Optimum Points Haul with Sheena. I wanted a khaki green colour to add to my collection since I like the look and it brings out the green in my hazel eyes. After putting it to the test, I realized how long it stayed in my waterline! Woah!
Now I know this will defer from person to person but for me, these work like a charm on the waterline. They are not only long wearing but also creamy and pigmented. I do not feel like I have to pass over more than once to get the pigmentation I want.
I do like that they require no sharpening and have a twist bottom to push up the product at the top. On the bottom there is a little sharpener that helps make the tip pointy, which I like, but sometimes you can lose some product. Enough to make a huge difference? Probably not.
And as always, the packaging is classic slick NARS. You need to know where the name of the colour is though, for some reason they made that not obvious, once you know, you know but at first, it took us a while lol (maybe longuer than I care to admit hehe). I like that the bottom is coloured since the rest of the pencil is black, this way when I put it into my holder, I can put it colour-side up and I don’t spend time trying to find it.
I currently have 2 colours that I both got with Optimum Points (yay!)
Rue Bonaparte: A nice neutral that I love to put on my waterline on days that I look tired. It just opens up the eye and gives it a nice brightening look.
Rue de Rivoli: A khaki colour like I mentioned earlier that helps bring out the green in my eyes.
They do retail for $29 a peice, so up to you to decide if they are worth the price! Or you can do like me and redeem your Optimum points for them 🙂
