It’s here… it’s FINALLY HERE! Yes, Spring is here. With the very cold weather we have been having, it was so refreshing to have weather that we don’t need boots and gloves. With that came some inspiration to do lighter brighter makeup. I am also still trying to go through my collection and try out as much as I can. So let’s jump into some favourites.
Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon in Sedano Sands
I just reached for this one day, why? I was looking for a natural lip on a no makeup makeup day and I was pleasantly surprised by this. I like lip crayons and this one fits the bill in my book. It is hydrating and my lips feel soft while wearing it. It is also a perfect my lips but better colour and you could almost not tell if I am wearing something but you know my lips look better than normal. I have been pairing this with Julep Lipgloss in Charming. Makes a great natural look. Love it.
Clinique Cheek Pop in Pansy Pop and Ginger Pop
What can I say more than I already have said in my post all about these blushes. I must say that I have used one of these every day since I got them. I reach for pansy pop and ginger pop a lot. They aren’t super pigmented but very buildable, I just love how they make my skin glow. Plus, they are super cute!
Urban Decay Naked Basics
I think this is making a 2nd time appearance in my monthly favs and I apologize if is but I have been using it almost all month. I like it for natural day makeup days, when I want to do a bold lip but I don’t want bold everything and mainly for day to day work. I don’t have much time in the morning to get ready (let’s face it, I could get up earlier, but who am I kidding…). I love to use Naked 2 in my crease!
Julep Blank Canvas Mattifying Eye Primer
For everyday eye primer, I love this one from Julep. I am fair skin so the tone of this primer is perfect for me. I love that it has pigment to it so that it does take away the red of my lids and give a nice base for making any colours pop. I do love the Kat Von D tatoo primer so when I am going for more intense looks, I will use that one, but for every day, this is my go-to and as a result, I have gone through two tubes of it. I dab a little on the middle of my eyelid and then blend it out with my ring finger. My eyeshadow doesn’t crease with this and I find it makes it last longer. Every time I receive one in my boxes, I do a little cheer.
