Yay or Nay Sunday – Dior Nail Glow

Dior - Nail Glow

On this edition of Yay or Nay Sunday, Dior Nail Glow!

This expensive little bottle is… a YAY! I love this, and let me tell you why.

Let me just start by saying that this is the only Dior product I own and I don’t have the habit of getting super expensive brands.

I had heard a vlogger (and sorry but I cannot remember whom) mention this in her video. Said it was a great product. I was skeptical as here are the claims on the Sephora website:

What it is:
A nail enhancer that gives your natural nails a shiny, healthy glow.

What it does:
With one universal shade, this unique nail lacquer enhances the color of your natural nails. When applied on bare nails, the pinks of the nails become pinker and the whites become whiter for a shining finish and healthy-glow effect.

I told myself that at $26, this little bottle better do miracles! I like the look of shiny bare nails and I wanted something other than what I used to use for that, a regular top coat.

So, during the VIB Rouge 20% off evening, I looked for this in the store and found it on display. Here I was coating each of my nails with this product. Well, I was convinced!

I didn’t purchase it then, instead I added it to my birthday list and Missy ended it getting it for me. Thanks Missy!! I have used it many times since and its claims are true. The pink of my nails looked pinker, the whites whiter and it gave my nails a nice shining finish. I hope you can see that from the pictures below as it does really make a difference. It is hard to tell, it was hard to capture on the pictures, and please don’t mind my damaged nails (I scrapped off some nail polish and I shouldn’t have).

BEFORE

AFTER

I love this for when I am between nail polishes or I just want my nails to look healthy and shiny. I also want to say that it lasts a long time on the nails so with all that, I was quite happy with the quality. A little product goes a long way, so you know you can keep this bottle for a long time (helps justify the price). The brush applicator is also very dense, I like its flat cony shape (not sure how to describe it but it is a little different than the standard nail polish brush) and works very well on the nails. It is like you can feel the quality of the brush when you press it on your nails. Nothing about this bottle says “cheap”.

If you are looking for a product that does as it is described above, this is for sure a good one to try.
