As you all know, Sephora had their annual 20% off all the store event from Nov 6-10. The 3CB went to the VIB Rouge soirée on Nov 5 where they had the store closed to the public and only had the people that signed up for event in the store. I had been waiting for this and with the holidays sets being all out for sale, it was very exciting to make up a list and go shopping at a discount!
I did place an order online as well since there were items that were only available online or that I didn’t want to miss out. So as soon as I got my code, I jumped on sephora.com and placed my order in my already-ready basket!
Here are the items that I picked up.
My #1 item that I did not want to risk it selling out was the Bite Beauty Mix N’ Mingle set for lips. I LOVE Bite Beauty products so this was at the top of my list. I will do a Yay of Nay Sunday on this item to review it.
My next item was the Bare Minerals Jumbo Size Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Collector’s Edition in Fairly Light. I really do love this foundation, and mine is getting low, so I figured I would not only stock up on it but get a bigger size for a great price! However many times I change or try different foundations, this is one that I just find myself going back to. So there will be no waste on the size of this product.
You can see the difference in the sizes from the original at $34 which is 0.28oz vs the deluxe size at $48 (minus 20% off) of 0.6oz.
The 2 previous items were on my online order, the following ones are from the VIB Rouge Soirée.
The 1st item that his my basket was the NARS Audacious lipstick in Anita.
I did not intend to get this lipstick at all (or any Audacious lipsticks) but since I had heard so much about them from all of you on Youtube, I made my way over there. Well, even if we were early at the event and that there was not a lot of people yet, I had trouble making my way to the NARS display, it was full of women looking at these lipsticks. When I finally made my way, I swatched two, Raquel and Anita. As soon as Anita was swatched, I found my hand reaching for it and I snagged it. What I did not realize is that it was the last one in stock. hehehe 🙂 Just as soon as I held it in my hand, a woman gasped and said, OMG what is that colour on your hand?! When I told her, she hurried to try to find one… and yes, I was holding the last one. I told her I was sorry and left the display still holding on to it.. (you never know, it it was in my basket, it may have disappeared.. :S). As much as I didn’t not plan to get this lipstick, I am really glad I did. It is the perfect nude for me.
The next item I went for was the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. I have been eyeing this SOOOO much but never purchased it because of its cost, but with 20%, it was for sure worth it. These colours are gorgeous, it was worth the splurge.
I had to return to the store to exchange a Living Proof Product that I purchased and it was the wrong product. So I went back on a quiet morning of the last day of the sale and of course had to purchase other items.
I replaced the Living Proof item with the right one: the Living Proof style extender spray. I did try the sample size of this product and I did see a big different with how long my hair would last throughout the day. I got the one for fine hair since my hair is so fine that any style has trouble staying in it. So far so good!
The next item I wasn’t going to pick up… but when I saw it, I just had to. Another item that I have been wanting for a long time the bareMinerals READY 8.0 Power Neutrals palette. I won’t get too much into a review of this since a Yay or Nay Sunday will cover the review of this item (but pssst, I will say that I am happy I got it!).
The next item I realized that I forgot to add to my picture at the beginning of this post! I also wanted to try a new liquid foundation and since I have dry skin and the winter just makes it worst, I need one that doesn’t catch on my dry skin. The lady at Sephora recommended the YSL Le Teint Touche Éclat illuminating foundation. I am not sure I am 100% convinced on it. For the price tag of $62, I am not blown away. For that reason, I think I will be returning it.
The last item that I just grabbed while waiting in line to pay is the FAB Facial Radiance Pads. I have been wanting to get something that is exfoliating and these exfoliate tone and brighten.
I also picked up some Christmas gifts, which of course I won’t list here!
Leave your comments below about what you got on the 20% off sale, I would love to know what you purchased! Hauls are one of my favourite vids / posts out there. Also, if you have tried any of these products, let me know how you like them, are they worth it?
