This month, I have only a few items that I have been using and recommend.
Wild Madagascar Vanilla is new to Bath and Body Work’s fall line. I am not usually a fan of vanilla smells but this one has a just a hint of vanilla with other just amazing smells. I use the scrub with exfoliating gloves and it feels great on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and free of dead skin! A good purchase for sure.
This may be old news to others, but this was my first MAC product. The formula is beautiful, it gives a great sheen to the skin and it is very subtle. It is very buildable and can be used only on the cheekbones as a highlighter or highlight on the bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow and forehead. I apply this product with a fan brush and I need to swipe it decently into the pan each time before I apply for a good application of product. However, I do not see myself running out of this product so a loooong time, there is so much product in the pan, which helps justify the price.
This is an old favourite item, but I have been reminded this month on how much I love it after using different top coats. I repurchased it this month, my bottle was very low. This one does exactly what the name says “seche vite” means dries quickly in French. It makes the polish last and prevents early chipping. I have my sister-in-law to thank for this find as my first bottle was a Christmas gift last year from her.
I tried to find this shade on Sephora and UD’s wesbite and I cannot seem to find it. I wonder if its been replaced or renamed… Either way I do recommend these Glide-On pencils. I have a few of these and I love them all. I just love this dark purple shade. If you have green eyes, or like me, hazel eyes, this will make the purple pop! The formula of these are excellent, they blend well and they stay. They are probably my holy grail eyeliners. I used this eye pencil to create the look in the picture below.
Yankee Candle Soho Living Candle in Sycamore
As my last item, I wanted to mention this candle. I hesitated before adding it to the list as it is hard to find Yankee Candles in Canada, especially at a decent price. This one was part of my New York Haul and I got it at the Woodbury Outlets. In Canada, I have found some Yankee Candles at Marshall’s, Home Sense and Target. Although I wouldn’t recommend getting them at Target because they sell them for $29.99 (for the large candles) compared to Marshall’s or Home Sense’s $11.99-$14.99. This smells nice, like you are outside walking in the woods on a fall day. It is not as strong as some other Yankee Candles that I have, therefore the smell is not over powering, but just enough to create a nice atmosphere.
Hope you enjoyed this post and my October favs!
